I had a wonderful time photographing Daniel's "Where The Wild Things Are" 1st birthday party this weekend. I LOVE that book, so I was super excited to hear that this is what the theme was. The party was held at the gorgeous and cool Verde Kitchen and Cocktails in Bay Shore. The party took place in their greenhouse room, which was just so amazing. Daniel had a heck of a time smashing his cake at the end of the party. He was ALL about the frosting! To the W family- it was absolutely so good to see you guys again this weekend! Thank you for trusting me to capture another important moment in your family's world! <3
Annabella's Communion day was nothing short of amazing- from the venue, to the dress, to flowers- everything was perfection. The Carltun in Eisenhower Park happens to be one of my all time favorite venues on Long Island, so I was thrilled when I heard that Annabella's party was going to be there! Annabella's mom has an eye for beautiful things- and The Carltun was the perfect location! One of the sweetest moments of the day was when Annabella's dad was making his speech about his amazing daughter. The look on her face while watching him speak was priceless- and she ran over to him and gave him a huge hug. Brought such a smile to my face and a tear to my eye! Thank you to the Z family for trusting me with such a big day for your family! It was an absolute pleasure working with you!
Earlier in November, I had the pleasure of capturing Maria and George's marriage ceremony at the beautiful Allegria Hotel in right on the boardwalk in Long Beach, NY. It was such a beautiful day! Maria and George are such a wonderful couple and it never ceases to make me so happy to see other people happy and in love on one of the most important days of their lives!
I adore Greek Orthodox Christenings. They are so full of tradition and special little touches. Adonia's Christening was no exception. From her adorable outfits, to the beautiful candles, to the favors for the guests- everything was perfect! The ceremony was held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Hicksville. The church was adorned with gold touches and was simply stunning.
I think I may be the worst blog writer in the history of blog writers. No, for real, I am. ANYWHO! When Cortney asked me to capture her wedding, I was insanely honored. It is a big deal to capture one of the most important, most special days of one's life. I was even more excited to hear that the wedding and reception was at The Riviera in Massapequa because that's where my husband Eric and I had our wedding reception. It goes without saying that it holds a special place in my heart. The day of the wedding was overcast and cool with a slight breeze coming off the water- almost odd for a July day, but it was beautiful nonetheless. It was threatening to rain, but held out for Joe and Cortney. Its so clearly obvious to anyone who is in Joe and Cortney's presence how much love they have for each other. They steal little glances from each other- which are so very sweet. Their love is deep- and you can tell that they are truly soulmates. And man, oh man- the way they look at each other- it is the stuff that dreams are made of. Totally swoon worthy! So, without further ado, check out their lovely day!
Thank you so much, Joe and Cortney for entrusting me with capturing your wedding. Wishing you many, many, many years of love and laughter!
