How stunning is this couple? I truly enjoyed capturing Val and Eddie's elopement at the NYC City Clerk's Office last week. Its quickly becoming one of my favorite places to shoot. It is a fascinating and gorgeous building. After the ceremony, we headed over to DUMBO in Brooklyn for a portrait session. Really fun day!
I usually try not to play favorites with the types of events that I shoot- BUT Greek Christenings kind of take the cake for me. I just love everything about them- the ornate and beautiful churches, the two outfits, the opulence....just everything. Just look and I think you'll agree!
What a perfect night- in so many ways! Perfect weather, an gorgeous couple, and such an emotional night!
Jody and Michelle were arriving by boat to Smuggler Jack's restaurant in Massapequa for what was supposed to be just a regular dinner at a pretty restaurant on the water. As they were arriving, Michelle noticed the balloons that said "Marry Me?' and said "Someone is getting engaged tonight" not even thinking that SHE was the one getting engaged! (how awesome is that!) As she turned around, Jody was down on one knee with a stunner of a ring. Michelle was taken completely by surprise! It was amazing. Their families and close friends were waiting for them to celebrate (I always think that is a nice touch!). It was just so sweet to see them bask in the newly engaged glow. Congratulations Michelle and Jody!
I had a wonderful time photographing Daniel's "Where The Wild Things Are" 1st birthday party this weekend. I LOVE that book, so I was super excited to hear that this is what the theme was. The party was held at the gorgeous and cool Verde Kitchen and Cocktails in Bay Shore. The party took place in their greenhouse room, which was just so amazing. Daniel had a heck of a time smashing his cake at the end of the party. He was ALL about the frosting! To the W family- it was absolutely so good to see you guys again this weekend! Thank you for trusting me to capture another important moment in your family's world! <3
Annabella's Communion day was nothing short of amazing- from the venue, to the dress, to flowers- everything was perfection. The Carltun in Eisenhower Park happens to be one of my all time favorite venues on Long Island, so I was thrilled when I heard that Annabella's party was going to be there! Annabella's mom has an eye for beautiful things- and The Carltun was the perfect location! One of the sweetest moments of the day was when Annabella's dad was making his speech about his amazing daughter. The look on her face while watching him speak was priceless- and she ran over to him and gave him a huge hug. Brought such a smile to my face and a tear to my eye! Thank you to the Z family for trusting me with such a big day for your family! It was an absolute pleasure working with you!
